Elysian Brewing

Branding | Packaging Design | Photo Editing | Print Design | Production

I spent 7 months working with Elysian Brewery in Seattle, WA, mainly assisting with general design production of print and digital assets, and preparing and proofing packaging dielines for print. I was given a couple of special projects, including an internal training stamp card and a redesign of the top panel of the 6-pack can packaging. I also had the opportunity to work on two of Elysian’s beer festivals, holding responsibility for the visual design and production of the event banners, signage, and booklets.

6-Pack Cans Packaging Top Panel Redesign

The goal was to refresh the design of the top panel of the 6-pack cans packaging. After researching some competitor packaging, I found that a way to differentiate Elysian’s brand in this category was to use two cans at an angle, where nearly all competitors featured a large single can parallel to the long edges.

The angled cans allowed the designs to be seen from either perspective, no matter which way the box is held. This also allowed the logo of each brew to be featured directly in the center of the panel. It offered a more eye catching design, featuring more of the great artwork that Elysian creates for their brews.

Sensory Stamp Card

For Elysian’s brewers, they held beer education classes to improve their tastebuds. As extra incentive, there were prizes offered after completing the trainings and completing all of the sessions on the back of the card.

Beer Cart
